Update from the Thermae
Stopped by the Thermae with a friend. It is still open and full of girls and mostly Japanese guys. The top girls want 2000 Baht for short time and like to go only for the Japanese guys. There are few foreigners in Thermae and they rarely get the top girls. Top girls are flirting with the Japanese guys and don't want to be seen with a farang.
The beer is cheap enough, 90 to 100 baht; and the hot popcorn for 20 baht a box is really delicious. So, for many of us, the Thermae is an interesting place to watch the Thai girl - Japanese movie, live!
Most of the farangs there hanging with girls are with girls that the Japanese guys would never go with. The Japanese guys go for the young ones dressed nicely, full makeup, heels, and pulling and playing with their hair, bowing and trying to catch the eye of the Japanese customers.
On the other hand, if you are willing to drop 2000 baht for a short time with a Thermae girl who short times with a lot of Japanese guys, they certainly will go with you, especially if there is not a big crowd of Japanese guys that night or it is getting late.
