I rarely see anyone post about this part of Thailand.

I'm thinking seriously about moving there.

I have visited Chantaburi a number of times over the years. Because of the international gem market there, the town has a good variety of nightlife and some reasonable hotels.

Also, some decent (not white sand) beaches in the province and down toward Trat.

NOTE to Mods:

Eastern Thailand Forum Areas north Of Bangkok, including Kanchanaburi, Suphanburi, Saraburi, Pratumthani, Autthaya and other provinces in Central Thailand.

Shouldn't this be changed to reflect the provinces and cities on the Eastern Seaboard? The description appears to have been copied and pasted from the Central Thailand forum.
